The CMS framework that I utilize provides the ability for Visitor Members to write, edit and publish content on the site. Through the administration backend, each users privileges can be set to allow them to write and/or edit and/or publish content to your site.
As the site owner/operator, what does this mean for you? You can now have more people creating content, which means more fresh content for visitors to view. As a result visitors that subscribe to your feeds, get more content delivered to them, and more reasons to visit your site. Also visitors to your site regularly have more content to read, and more reason to come back.
Empowering members to provide content for you site, is an easy way to build content without doing all the work yourself.
Another benefit that you get when multiple authors post content to your site is that your content will develop different perspectives. When only one person writes for a site, their biases, opinions and ideas are the only ones presented. From a visitor’s viewpoint this can be good or bad. If they agree with you it is good, if they don’t, chances are you’ll loose your visitor. In fact, a website is much like a newspaper or magazine. Different people like different writers, and will read their columns first, while purposely avoiding others. This can be because they like a writer’s style, ideas or content subject.
Whatever the reason, diversifying the content on your site, through multiple writers, increases the chances that that your visitors will find something or someone that they want to read.
